Wellbeing Wednesday - the May of Languages!

'The May of Languages'
Languages on Show: Languages Make the Show
We are focusing on language this month and the children have been asked to draw the flag of the country that represents their family language or background - we look forward to hearing all about the different languages spoken across the school and displaying the flags from around the world. We would love to share stories in different languages so please do share any books that you have at home.
Language is one of the most important parts of any culture. It is the way by which people communicate with one another, build relationships and create a sense of community. There are roughly 6,500 spoken languages in the world today, and each is unique in a number of ways. The many cognitive benefits of learning languages are undeniable. People who speak more than one language have improved memory, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, enhanced concentration, ability to multitask and better listening skills! What better reason to keep learning....
Have a great week.
Best wishes,
