Canteen Rules, Healthy Eating & Thank a Teacher Day
Canteen Rules
The children have created canteen rules and this has empowered them to enjoy their lunch time with their friends whilst respecting the rules and boundaries that apply at this busy time. Good manners are encouraged at lunch times and the children wanted to formalise these expectations in their own language so that they were accessible to all. The posters are displayed around the canteen and act as an important reminder of how we should behave at meal times.
- Je me sers à ma faim et peux me resservir
APRES
DANS LE CALME,
- Je débarrasse mon plateau
- Je récupère mon manteau
- Je sors dans la cour
Healthy Eating and 5 Stars for the Canteen Staff
At school, the children enjoy a nutritious, healthy and varied selection of meals that are rich in fibre, vitamins and minerals - prepared using numerous organic products. Everything is cooked fresh on site by our chef and his team to ensure the children eat well.
As well as offering the children a certain independence, the self-service canteen helps introduce the children to the notion of a balanced diet by encouraging them to make healthy choices for themselves. The menus are created every 3 weeks and published on the school website. They are changed according to the seasons, and offer the possibility of varied options throughout the school year. Our canteen recently received the highest standard awarded by the Local Authority for food provision.
