Giving children all the keys to success

The Ecole Française de Londres Jacques Prévert enables children to follow a similar school curriculum to their peers living in France, with the same approved programmes and the possibility of accessing the same secondary-level diplomas. The school is very international, with pupils of more than 30 nationalities, and provides the opportunity to form social bonds in a small close-knit community, classes in both French and English, and a multicultural education that offers an opening into to the United Kingdom and beyond.

Ensuring pupil wellbeing

A school is, above all, a collaboration with the joint aim of accompanying and supporting children’s development and learning.

At the Ecole Française de Londres Jacques Prévert, our objectives fall into four categories:

  • Health and safety
  • Collective life and citizenship
  • Academic success
  • Openness to the world

Everyone in our professional team plays close attention to pupil wellbeing and participates in numerous projects and activities to allow each child to grow in confidence and find fulfilment within a multicultural and multilingual atmosphere, ensuring their academic success for the 21st century.

Our school project

Learning to be a community

The school offers a unique context for learning social skills, allowing children to develop and grow while encouraging the creation of rewarding and harmonious relationships.

The Ecole Jacques Prévert regularly runs initiatives to ensure children take an active role in acquiring personal and social skills, such as Pupil Superpowers (Safety and security, Independence, Caring, Respect, Effort - Santé et sécurité, Autonomie, Bienveillance, Respect, Effort: SABRE), caring days, presentations, debates and speech-making, Pupil Council, achievement awards, etc.

Supporting every child's learning

Structured around the French National Curriculum programme, the school’s teaching encourages children to acquire skills at their own pace, in both French and English.

Our school is inclusive. It implements support and remedial activities for pupils, keeps families up to date with their children’s progress, and allows pupils to aim for the high academic standards they need to pursue their studies in renowned secondary schools and sections in France and Great Britain, and throughout the world.

Shaping the citizens of the future

The school addresses a wealth of educational topics:

  • Health education, including a varied sports offer.
  • Citizenship, with a specific focus on the values of the French Republic and British democracy.
  • Artistic and cultural Demoelopment, ensuring openness to other cultures, and drawing on the support of high-quality cultural facilitators.

Our school is also very well equipped with information technology, in order to offer pupils a personalised educational experience and to teach them how to use digital tools to benefit their learning.

Lastly, we are committed to sustainable Development and aim both to foster an awareness of environmental issues among our budding young “pupil citizens” and to integrate environmental responsibility into our teaching practices. The school has been awarded EFE3D certification (French Institution Abroad with a Sustainable Demoelopment Approach - Établissement français à l’étranger en démarche de développement durable).
