A comprehensive offer of extra-curricular activities
To meet the needs of families and working parents, the Ecole Jacques Prévert offers a morning and evening after-school club with extensive opening hours. From CE1 (primary year 3) onwards, children can also attend our after-school homework club as well as numerous clubs organised by our parents' association, the APEEF.
Morning club and after-school club
The school’s morning club, run by a team of skilled facilitators, is open every day from 8 am to 8.50 am last entry 8.40am).
Children can also attend our after-school club every day except Wednesday. This club has two phases:
- From 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm: cultural and fun activities, and sports.
- From 4.30 pm to 5 pm: playtime.
Children can be collected at either 4.30 pm or 5 pm.
Sessions must be booked and paid for in advance on the SchoolGateway app.
It is possible to book until 8:00 am the same day for the Morning Club and 2 pm for the Afterschool Club.
You can also book sessions in advance.
Places are limited to 35 pupils.
Please be note that you will be charged £10 for every session attended but not booked in advance.
Homework club
Depending on demand, the homework club is open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for children from CE1 to CM2 (primary years 3 to 6). The club brings children together in small groups and is facilitated by the school’s teachers.
Each session lasts from 3.30 pm to 4.30 pm and includes 15 minutes of playtime followed by 45 minutes of work.
There are two possible options. Registration is completed at the beginning of the school term for the whole term.
- Option 1: homework club, end time 4.30 pm. £9.50 per session, per child.
- Option 2: homework club plus after-school club, end time 5 pm. After the study club, the children go to the after-school club from 4.30 pm to 5 pm. £11.50 per session, per child.
Cultural activities and sports clubs
Thanks to the school’s parents association, the APEEF, the school has the widest range of extra-curricular clubs of all the French schools in London. We have more than 20 groups, including sports clubs (football, tennis, handball, karate, dance, yoga, etc.); cultural activities (English, science club, choir); arts clubs (art workshops); and also a cooking club and a chess club.
Our clubs are facilitated by specialists and run by volunteer parents for the APEEF.
