Job Description
Primary Focus:
The successful candidate will have principal responsibility for supervising and supporting children during periscolaire periods, including lunchtime supervision and after-school care for nursery (maternelle) pupils. The role involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the children through the implementation of structured, nurturing, and engaging activities in alignment with the school’s educational ethos.
Level: Children aged 3 years and above
Work Location: École Jacques Prévert, 41 Brook Green, London W6 7BL
Contract Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Start Date: 3 November 2025
Responsibilities
Educational Support
-
Actively participate in play-based sessions, songs, storytelling, and other interactive educational activities.

Promote the use of the English or French language in a natural and engaging manner appropriate to the age and abilities of the children.
Pupil Support
-
Provide individual and small-group assistance to children as part of their daily routines.

Observe and identify the specific needs of pupils, adapting activities and approaches accordingly to foster inclusion and development.
Classroom and Daily Routine Participation

Assist teachers or other assistants in the preparation and organisation of materials, resources, and play areas.

Support transitions throughout the day, including arrival and departure times, meals, and rest periods.

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment.
Communication and Team Collaboration

Maintain regular communication with class teachers and other members of the educational team to ensure consistency in approach and pupil care.

Contribute to the development of educational resources and the planning of age-appropriate activities.
