L’école

As a French school in London, we are keen to promote the values of the French Republic as well as the British values, alongside various celebrations of multiculturalism and international traditions.

With only ten days to go until the Coronation of King Charles III, preparations are in full swing across the nation. At Ecole Jacques Prévert, we too are planning to celebrate this historic event and the English Department has organised for all lessons and activities to be themed around the history, culture and political system of the British Monarchy. Over the course of the week, the children will learn about the purpose of the coronation, King Charles' life, role and his charity work. They will collaborate to put together a commemoration display in the school canteen and savour a British-themed menu at the end of that week. 

On Friday 5^th May, to mark this occasion, the children and staff are invited to dress up as kings and queens, or in the colour of the UK flag or come in their best formal attire.

I am sure the children will be excited to be part of history, join the festivities and find out more about the Coronation.
