Wellbeing Wednesday: Celebrating a Successful School Year

03 Jul 2024

As the school year draws to a close, it is time to reflect on the incredible journey our Jacques Prévert pupils have undertaken. This year has been marked by remarkable achievements, personal growth, and the development of lasting friendships. It is a moment to celebrate not just the academic milestones, but also the spirit of resilience and the joy of learning that each pupil has brought to our school community.

Celebrating Achievements

Firstly, let's take a moment to applaud the hard work and dedication of our pupils. From mastering new math concepts to diving into the world of literature, participating in exciting trips and outings, and showcasing creativity in arts and music, our pupils have shown tremendous enthusiasm and commitment. Their achievements, big and small, are a testament to their perseverance and passion for learning.

We also want to acknowledge the remarkable progress made in extracurricular activities. Whether excelling in sports, performing arts, or community service projects, our pupils have demonstrated exceptional talent and teamwork. It has been a pleasure to witness their collaboration during Sports Day yesterday and the tremendous effort put into performing at our traditional Fête de la Musique today. We thank the families, pupils, and teachers for participating in these events, which were the result of a genuine team effort.

The Importance of Wellbeing

As we transition into the summer break, it's essential to emphasise the importance of wellbeing. Summer is a perfect opportunity for pupils to reset and recharge. Encouraging our children to take time off from their busy schedules is crucial for their mental and physical health.

Parents and families, we encourage you to support your children in finding a balance between rest and play. Engaging in outdoor activities, exploring nature, reading for pleasure, or simply enjoying quiet moments can significantly contribute to their overall wellbeing. Summer is also a wonderful time to strengthen family bonds. In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, it's easy to overlook the simple pleasures of spending quality time together.

Looking Ahead

As we bid farewell to this school year and to our CM2 pupils and others embarking on new adventures, we do so with a sense of pride and anticipation. We celebrate the remarkable accomplishments and growth our pupils have demonstrated throughout the year. Their hard work and dedication have been truly inspiring. At the same time, we eagerly look forward to the new opportunities and experiences that the next academic year will bring, confident that it will be filled with continued success and exciting challenges.

To our dear Jacques Prévert pupils: enjoy your summer to the fullest. Take this time to relax, have fun, and explore new interests. Remember to celebrate your achievements, no matter how small, and to appreciate the journey you have been on.

To our parents and families: thank you for your unwavering support throughout the year. Your partnership is vital to our pupils' success, and we are grateful for your involvement in their education.

Wishing everyone a sunny and exhilarating summer break. We look forward to seeing you, re-energised and ready for another exciting school year on 3rd September!

Happy Summer!

Warm regards,
Mrs Weber
