Wellbeing Wednesday - The Great Jubilee Bake Sale

08 Jun 2022

The Great Jubilee Bake Sale
Friday 10th June 2022

As part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the School and the APEEF are organising a Jubilee Cake Sale on Friday 10th June 2022. The children will be able to buy your baked goods in the School courtyard between 3.00pm - 3.30pm, accompanied by their teacher.

All proceeds from the sale will be donated to a charity sponsored by Her Majesty The Queen and we are pleased to announce that the children have voted, and their chosen charity is the RSPCA. Please remember to bring your baked goodies to the School reception from 9.00am until 2.00pm on the day and to give your children some money for the sale!

Huge thanks to Carine Vauchy and the APEEF Team for organising this event!

RSPCA

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is a charity operating in England and Wales that promotes animal welfare. The RSPCA is funded primarily by voluntary donations. Her Majesty The Queen is the RSPCA patron.

The RSPCA is the oldest welfare charity around and was the first to introduce a law to protect animals and work hard to ensure that all animals can live free from pain and suffering. Through their campaigns they raise standards of care, and awareness of issues, affecting animals today. They rely on the public's support to help them push for changes in the law to improve the welfare of animals on farms, in labs, in the wild, in paddocks or our homes.

Through investigations and prosecutions, the RSPCA stand up to those who deliberately harm animals to send a clear message - we will not tolerate animal abuse. They work hard to rehabilitate animals, provide them with the very best veterinary care and to find them new homes, either through rehoming or release.

If you are interested in further supporting this charity or researching more about the work they do, please see below link.

Enjoy the cake!

Best wishes,
