Wellbeing Wednesday – Reflecting on a Joyful End to the School Year
02 Jul 2025
As we reach the final stretch of the academic year, there’s been a real buzz of excitement across the school – from the joyful notes of our Fête de la musique to the thoughtful conversations happening in classrooms. It has been a week full of celebration, reflection, and preparation for the changes ahead.
Fête de la musique
This year, we marked the arrival of summer with our very own Fête de la musique. Pupils who wished to perform had the chance to share their musical talents – from singing and piano to guitar and violin. It was a joyful and inclusive celebration of creativity and expression. The atmosphere was full of encouragement, and every performer was met with warm applause from their peers. A big thank you to all who participated or supported – it was a truly special moment of the term.
Incredible Class Shows
Another standout moment this term has been the wonderful class performances. Each show was a joy to watch – full of confidence, creativity, and teamwork. A huge well done to all our pupils for learning their lines and performing so brilliantly. Thank you to parents for supporting your children with rehearsals and costumes, and to our dedicated teachers for the time, energy, and care they put into producing such high-quality performances. You all helped make these shows truly memorable.
Talking Transitions
In every class, we spent time talking about the upcoming transitions – whether it’s moving up a year group or saying goodbye to familiar routines. Change can feel exciting, but it can also bring some worries. Together, we explored positive things to look forward to, shared any concerns, and discussed practical strategies for coping with change. These honest and thoughtful discussions helped pupils feel reassured and confident as they look ahead.
Celebration Assemblies
Each year group attended a special Celebration Assembly where we proudly recognised the many ways our pupils have shown our school Superpowers throughout the year – from respect and kindness to effort and responsibility. Pupils from CP who received a School Superpowers Certificate are being featured in the Gold Book – a huge well done to each of them.
A Joyful Send-Off
To finish our assemblies, we came together in song – a joyful way to mark the end of the year, united as one school community.
As we prepare for a well-deserved summer break, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every pupil for their incredible effort, growth, and spirit this year. We wish the very best to those moving on to new adventures – you will always be part of our school family.
To everyone returning in September: have a wonderful summer holiday – rest well, enjoy the sunshine, and we can’t wait to see you refreshed and ready for another fantastic year.
Best wishes,
Mrs Weber
